Wearing the Wig
• Always secure your natural hair flat, and secure the wig grip according to your head size.
• Place the front lace gently on your forehead without trapping your own hair underneath.
• Do not pull the wig from the front hairline, this area is the most delicate and can easily cause the hair in the front to come off or the lace to fray in the front which is then irreversible and cannot be repaired.
Washing
• Do not wash the wig frequently, once every 20–30 wears is sufficient.
• Use cold or lukewarm water with a sulphate-free, gentle shampoo.
• Hold the wig at the base and swish it gently in water.
• Never scrub the lace/base as this will cause hair to loosen and shed.
• Rinse thoroughly, apply a lightweight conditioner to mid-lengths and ends, then rinse again.
Drying
• Gently blot with a soft towel to remove excess water, please do not wring or twist.
• Place on a wig stand to air dry. Avoid direct sunlight or heat.
Brushing
• Always brush starting from the ends, working upwards towards the roots.
• Use a wig brush or wide-tooth comb only.
• Never brush the wig when it’s wet, let it fully dry first.
Styling
• Heat styling is possible but should be done sparingly to preserve the hair’s quality.
• Always use a heat protectant spray.
• Avoid tugging at the lace while styling, especially near the front hairline.
Other Tips
• Store the wig on a stand when not in use to maintain its shape. The mannequin head should ideally be smaller than your wig size so your wig doesn’t loosen up over time.
• Keep it away from heat sources, chlorine water, and excessive humidity.
• Some shedding is normal with hand-knotted wigs, brushing gently and correctly will reduce breakage.
• Avoid sleeping, swimming, or showering with the wig on to prevent unnecessary tangling and wear.
